About this place

Jordan Pond Path circles a clear glacial lake between Penobscot and Pemetic mountains, with the rounded North and South Bubbles rising above the northern shore. The surface changes from crushed stone to roots, boulders, and narrow plank boardwalks.

The NPS describes a 3.3-mile loop with minimal elevation change; a separate official itinerary records 28 feet of gain/loss and about 1–2 hours. The western shore is notably rougher than the eastern side.
