Set among immense granite boulder piles in the central Mojave Desert section of Joshua Tree, Jumbo Rocks Campground opens directly into Joshua Tree National Park. - Leashed pets are allowed in Joshua Tree campgrounds and within 100 ft of roads and picnic areas. Leash must be no longer than 6 ft; pets may not be left unattended or tied to objects. Dogs are not allowed on hiking trails, in the backcountry, or in park buildings; pick up waste.

Campfire rules

- Allowed only in the designated metal fire ring or grill outside the park’s annual June 15–October 1 campfire/charcoal closure and other high-fire-danger closures. Keep fires small enough to be quickly controlled. Bring your own firewood; collecting living or dead park vegetation is prohibited. Pallet wood may be burned only if all nails are removed and the wood fits within the ring. Extinguish with water; do not bury or cover hot ashes.
