  • Surf Beach 4/15-9/31: 6AM-10PM 10/1-4/14: 6AM-8PM Bluffs/Trails 6AM-Sunset San Mateo Campground 6AM-10PM ALERT: Due to road damage caused by recent high tides and heavy surf, the following parking and facility closures are in effect at San Onofre Surf Beach: – Lower dirt parking lots will be closed to vehicle parking until further notice. – Upper paved parking lots will be temporarily closed on Friday, Oct. 9, while crews address storm damage. The lots will reopen once work is complete. – Beach access: The beach remains open for surfing, walking and biking. However, pedestrian and bicycle access will be restricted within the designated work area on Friday, Oct. 9 for public safety. – Water and restrooms are currently unavailable due to damage to the water main serving Surf Beach. For your safety, please follow all posted signs and staff instructions on closure and restrictions. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to repair the damage and restore access and services. We’ll post additional updates on here and on our webpage: parks.ca.gov/SanOnofre
