Heart Lake occupies a compact alpine basin along the main Little Lakes Valley trail. The surrounding camp area keeps an early overnight close to Mosquito Flat while still reaching high-country lake terrain.
Kampilo marks the general lake area rather than a tent pad. Use an existing durable site at least 100 feet from water, streams, and the system trail.
