Fire planning
Three Sisters wilderness area is an undeveloped backcountry camp area in Lava Beds National Monument Wilderness. Do not build a wilderness campfire; verify current stove restrictions before departure. A route marker, old ring, or wilderness authorization never creates fire permission.
Self-contained gas or liquid-fuel backpacking stove. Use a purpose-built stove with an on/off valve and its designated gas or liquid fuel. Wood, charcoal, twig, and biomass devices follow the campfire prohibition.

Check Lava Beds National Monument Wilderness current conditions immediately before departure because emergency fire restrictions and closures supersede this standing rule.
