Duck Pass Trailhead begins beside Coldwater Campground in the Mammoth Lakes Basin and enters a connected John Muir Wilderness network. Kampilo follows the official Duck Pass, Coldwater–Lake George, Arrowhead Lake, Pika Lake, Ram Lake, and Pacific Crest trails to ten supported camp areas.
Lake Mary Road and the campground corridor are seasonal mountain access. Parking demand, snow, storms, fire restrictions, and current Forest Service conditions should be checked before departure.
