Place closure

No recurring date-based closure of Black Diamond Mines Trailhead is published. Park-specific staging and overnight parking and temporary emergency orders still control access.

Seasonal access

Park-specific staging and overnight parking: Use the signed Black Diamond Mines Trailhead access in Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve, Contra Costa County, California. Use the staging area named by the reservation: Black Diamond Mines, Mission Peak Stanford Avenue, Morgan Territory Road, Round Valley, or Sibley. Day-use hours do not independently authorize overnight parking. Stewartville and Morgan Territory backpack camps close each November through March. Mission Peak, Round Valley, and Sibley remain subject to heat, storm, fire, water-system, and park-hour closures.

Before driving

Confirm the exact reservation and park alert. Round Valley's water system is currently out of service, and a reservation does not override a preserve closure.
