Rush Creek Trailhead begins across from Silver Lake Campground on the June Lake Loop and enters the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Kampilo follows the official Rush Creek, Spooky Meadow, Alger Lakes, Clark Lakes, Pacific Crest, Marie Lakes, Davis Lake, and Thousand Island Lake trails to ten supported camp areas.
The route is a major stock-access corridor. Parking demand, seasonal snow, storms, fire restrictions, and current Forest Service conditions should be checked before departure.
