Glacier Point Road, Yosemite National Park, California
Ostrander Trailhead is a source-backed overnight access point in Yosemite National Park. Kampilo publishes only the official trail geometry and permit or camp authorization options represented in the mapped catalog.
The mapped line is a planning reference rather than a guarantee of current access. Confirm road, parking, trail, weather, fire, permit, and closure conditions with the land manager before departure.
Seasonal access
No recurring date-based closure of Ostrander Trailhead itself is published, but the dated approach or parking limits below apply. Posted gates and emergency orders still control.
Seasonal Glacier Point Road: Use the signed Ostrander/Lost Bear trailhead on Glacier Point Road. Confirm the seasonal road opening, October 15 overnight-parking restriction, and Bridalveil Creek-area fire or facility notices. Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road usually close for snow from about November into late May or June. Valley, Wawona, and Hetch Hetchy access use different road and gate rules.
Road opening and closing dates are condition-driven. Check park conditions and the selected trailhead parking page immediately before travel.
Overnight parking is prohibited on Tioga Road and associated lots, and on Glacier Point Road beyond Badger Pass, beginning October 15 until the applicable road reopens in spring.
